RAM's Christmas Jumper Day 2016
On Friday 16th December, employees here at RAM Tracking took part in Christmas Jumper Day; a bit of fun in the office to raise money for a very serious cause; “Coopas Wish to Walk”.
Coopa is a very brave, local little girl who has cerebral palsy which means she is unable to walk or stand unaided. She has recently been given the opportunity to have a possible life changing operation, Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy, which helps children with stiffness in their legs due to cerebral palsy. Unfortunately, the operation is not funded by the NHS and costs £14,314, with the aftercare costing another £20,000.
A number of RAM employees visit a local café, Pow Wow, which is also helping to raise money for this special cause. After hearing about Coopa and her charity, we decided to take part in Christmas Jumper Day and donate the funds raised to Coopa.
Our employees got into the Christmas spirit with jumpers, reindeer horns and even snowmen dresses! Even those who didn’t wear jumpers generously donated money. We managed to raise just over £250, however CEO, Chris McClellan, promised to match what we made. Coopa and her mum came to the office to collect our donation of £514.20.
Everyone enjoyed dressing up and raising money for this special cause. We hope Coopa gets her surgery soon and wish her all the best for the future. If you would like more information, or to donate, please visit: https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/louisa-ellis/coverphoto
