Social media can be seen as having taken over lives a little. With more than 75% of people with active profiles on social media platforms like Facebook will check their profile and newsfeed at least once a day. That can also be said for your workforce and even drivers when they are on their breaks. While it’s good to ensure that you can remain in constant communication with drivers and your fleet, more companies are considering using social media to do it. Facebook launched a Facebook at work platform where people set up a separate profile. This means that companies can update their own status and allow their drivers and workforce to log in. Things like sharing information such as problems on the road or other things could be a great tool. This can save on costs.
Everyone is talking about autonomous vehicles, and more manufacturers are including self-drive features than ever before. Making certain aspects of the fleet vehicle self managed. Technology such as built-in telematics can help a manager to predict maintenance needed, instead of fixing a problem when it arises. The telematics system can help to enable managers to be alerted when things are needing troubleshooting in regards to the running of the vehicle. This can save a company precious time and money on the bottom line.
